PEOPLE

  • We support early and mid-career researchers and senior scholars from diverse disciplines around the world 
  • We nurture early career developmentalists
  • We offer numerous opportunities to our members

  • We organize biennial meetings  to unite developmentalists around the world
  • We build regional and local communities of developmentalists through our Regional Workshops
  • We host webinars and virtual meetings for a science that cares

 

PRACTICES

  • We are committed to advancing developmental science and its caring application around the world
  • We engage with local researchers and communities and build strong capacity to create research-practice partnerships 
  • We are committed to translating developmental science into local and global policy 

Constitution

The ISSBD was founded in May, 1969. Its constitution was ratified in July, 1972 and the society received the Royal Assent of the Queen of The Netherlands in February, 1973.

By-Laws were ratified by the membership of the Society meeting at Pavia, Italy in September, 1977, with the latest changes to the by-Laws approved by the ISSBD membership via mail ballot in the fall of 1992. The full By-Laws and Constitution of the Society are reproduced here.
